Green Tree adding workers at Rapid City office

4/13/2010

PIERRE, S.D. - Green Tree Credit Solutions, a loan servicing agency, will add 35 workers to its Rapid City office with the help of a $35,000 Workforce Development Training grant from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.

Minnesota-based Green Tree is a financial services firm whose primary onsite work is servicing loans for national customers, including collections and customer service activities, and insurance agency operations.

“Green Tree has been a great corporate citizen here for 15 years,” said Gov. Mike Rounds. “We are pleased to help train employees for this company as it expands in our state.”

As part of the training, the new employees will go through at least 80 hours of in-class training. They will then receive additional training as they move to a live call center setting. The training is slated to begin starting in April, and classes will run throughout the year.

Green Tree credited GOED with making the grant process simple.

“The office was easy to work with,” said Keith Anderson, President. “We were very impressed with the quick turnaround for the approval.”

Anderson added that expanding in South Dakota was an easy decision based on the company’s previous experience with area employees. “It’s a good market with hardworking employees,” stated Anderson. “Bottom line, there is a great workforce in South Dakota.”

The 35 new positions will be added gradually over the rest of 2010 to service new accounts that Green Tree is pursuing through portfolio and servicing rights acquisitions.

Applicants are welcome to apply at http://www.greentreecreditsolutions.com/careers.html or through the local Department of Labor office.
