“Growing by leaps and bounds” is one expression that could describe how things are going in South Dakota for TMone (t-m-one), a Iowa City, Iowa,-based customer service and tech support company. The company opened its first South Dakota location in North Sioux City during the summer of 2009 with 17 employees. That number quickly rose to 60 in about a year. Jason Hall, CEO, said, “We strive to create a positive, upbeat working environment for our employees, and have had no trouble filling these positions.” More recently, TMone announced a 500-seat contact center in Spearfish that will open in September 2011. The center will employ up to 500 people, and the company initially plans on hiring 50. The center will provide customer service, e-commerce, first-party collections, inbound, outbound, and telephone account management interactions for TMone clients, which are mostly Fortune 1000 companies.
