Virginia-based Healthcare Company Expanding to Ellsworth AFB

BOX ELDER, S.D. – Advance Health, based in Chantilly, Va., announced today that Ellsworth Air Force Base will be the site for its third location, and the company expects to fill more than 200 jobs during the next three to five years.

“South Dakota is proud to welcome Advance Health to the Rushmore Region,” said Gov. Dennis Daugaard. “As our population continues to age, comprehensive healthcare and services will be in even higher demand.”

The Governor also noted that Advance Health has the unique distinction of being the first company in South Dakota to partner with Ellsworth Air Force Base under the federal government’s Enhanced Use Lease Program. This program allows private business to lease the installation’s underutilized real property. “Through the Enhanced Use Lease Program, Advance Health gains turnkey office space and the Air Force is able to lower the base’s operating cost by adding a tenant. This is a win, win for South Dakota business and the base. We are optimistic that other companies will soon be forming partnerships with the Air Force Base, as well,” Gov. Daugaard said.

Advance Health is a privately owned company, focused on health assessments and care coordination to seniors and other people in vulnerable health. They deliver care directly into people’s homes.

Advance Health conducted an extensive search across the nation to determine the best site for its new location. We think Rapid City, S.D. offers a talented workforce, a great cost of living and beautiful site to expand to,” said Brian Wise, CEO of Advance Health.

“We are delighted to welcome Advance Health as the newest member of our region’s business community,” said Ben Snow, president, Rapid City Economic Development Partnership. “As its name implies, this company represents advances in both healthcare and technology – two key growth industries for us. It will also offer great wages and benefits, which will provide outstanding upward mobility for many individuals in our workforce.”

“We’ve got a lot of exciting things coming up and today’s announcement is just the beginning,” said Kevin Davis, COO, Advance Health. “We’re looking forward to growing and becoming part of the community within South Dakota.”
