The Governor's Office of Economic Development is working to increase current and international trade opportunities for South Dakota industry to enhance and diversify the state’s economy. The GOED and its partners can assist companies in their international efforts with the following services.
A listing of companies engaged in exporting their products and services out-of-country is available in the download section on this page. If you are currently exporting and are not included in this listing please contact Amy Baker (email@example.com) so we can include your company information in the Exporter Directory.
Certificates of Free Sale are now issued by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. Required by certain countries, these certificates state that South Dakota companies produce the purchased products in the state and there are no trade restrictions on said products. There is no charge for a certificate. To request a certificate please follow the instructions in the Certificate of Free Sale Protocol pdf file in the Downloads section of this page.
The GOED can produce Coface Reports at our cost for in-state companies. These reports currently run from approximately $100 to $200 depending on the company’s location/country. Additional charges will apply for express delivery. To request a Coface report please contact Mary Cerney at firstname.lastname@example.org.
