Ethanol Infrastructure Incentive Program

The Ethanol Infrastructure Incentive Program was designed to alleviate retailers across the state from costs associated with the installation of blender pumps.

The State of South Dakota has allocated $3.5 million over the next five years to get the program on its feet. In 2012, $950,000 will be available for ethanol blender pumps installations at retail motor fuel stations.

Renewable Energy

South Dakota boasts a world-class wind resource and are consistently ranked among the top in the nation when it comes to wind-energy potential.

We also have hydroelectric power, a solid business environment and productive agricultural and solid manufacturing bases. Additionally, South Dakota’s 15 ethanol plants have an annual production capacity of one billion gallons.

IT

Information technology companies thrive in South Dakota. Our state has fiber infrastructure in place to support a Tier-4 data center, plenty of available water and some of the lowest electricity rates in the nation.

Our rural environment is beneficial as it shields servers from natural disasters, and our relatively mild climate offers companies 157 days of free cooling per year.

Bioscience

South Dakota has a lot to offer companies in the bioscience industry. From our tax climate that is favorable to any business; to our innovative research centers; to our collaborative spirit that you simply won’t find anywhere else,

South Dakota is a great place for your company’s next home.

Firearms

South Dakota has a long tradition of outdoor recreation – specifically hunting and fishing. With this tradition comes a knowledgeable workforce and a gun-friendly attitude.

When combined with the state’s business and regulatory climates, it just makes sense for a firearm company to locate in South Dakota.
